Research Interests: Computer-aided geometric design
Native of Shijiazhuang, Hebei, Han ethnicity. PhD in Science, faculty member at the School of Mathematics and Information Science, Hebei Normal University, and Master's Supervisor. In 1993 he was recommended for admission by Shijiazhuang No. 2 High School to study in the National Science Base Class of the Department of Mathematics at Jilin University. From 1998 to 2002 he pursued a PhD at Jilin University under the supervision of Professor Zhou Yunshi, and thereby began his research work in computer-aided geometric design. In October 2003, he won the second prize in the first "Outstanding Young Scholars' Paper Competition of the China Society for Computational Mathematics" established by the China Society for Computational Mathematics. From 2008 to 2010, he participated in the writing and proofreading of some entries in the "Function Approximation and Computational Geometry" section of the new edition of the Encyclopedic Dictionary of Mathematics published by Science Press. He has led and completed one project each of the Natural Science Foundation of Hebei Province and a research project of the General Administration of Sport of China, and has participated as a principal researcher in two research projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. His research interests include the Lupas q-Bernstein operator and its applications, subdivision curve and surface modeling, and barycentric coordinates.
